Do you have a treasured photograph that you think could be transformed into a great piece of artwork? Or would you prefer to have an artist take a series of photographs to use as reference for the portrait?

Consider what it is you really want to capture. Try to envision the person or subject. What comes to mind? Do you simply see the person's face or do you see them involved in a favourite activity or relaxing in a special place? Where will you hang the portrait? Walk around your home and consider where you might like to display it, this will help determine what size it should be. Considering these things will help ensure you receive the finished portrait that you truly want.

During our first meeting all of these considerations will be discussed and hopefully this will provide some insight into the subject being portrayed. Sixty to eighty photographs will be taken to use as reference. From these, three or four strong compositions will be selected for you to choose from.
